Loki
Loki, an intriguing and multifaceted figure in Norse mythology, is a trickster god known for his cunning, unpredictability, and complex relationships with other deities. Often depicted as a shapeshifter, Loki embodies both chaos and transformation in Norse cosmology.
As a trickster, Loki's actions can range from mischievous pranks to more serious disruptions of the natural order. His behavior often challenges societal norms and divine expectations, leading to both humorous and disastrous consequences. Loki's schemes and antics, while sometimes disruptive, also serve to expose the flaws and vulnerabilities of the gods and the cosmos.
Despite his unpredictable nature, Loki is not merely a malevolent figure. He has moments of genuine camaraderie with the other gods, especially Odin, and plays a role in aiding the Aesir in dire situations. However, his actions sometimes lead to discord and conflicts, such as his involvement in the death of Baldr, the god of light.
Loki's parentage adds to his enigmatic character; he is the son of the giant Farbauti and the jotun (giant) Laufey, yet he becomes an honorary member of the Aesir through his association with Odin's family.
Loki's complexity reflects the blurred lines between good and evil, chaos and order, in Norse mythology. His influence extends beyond the realms of gods and mortals, making him a captivating figure of study and interpretation for those intrigued by the intricate narratives of Norse lore.

Our Deity Cards are made of 1/8" Baltic Birch Ply, 5" tall by 3" wide, and are sealed with a protective coat to keep off dirt or marks that can build up over time to discolor the artwork.
